Richard V. Whiting, 63, of Pensacola died Tueday, June 26, 2001 at Sacred Heart Hospital.  Born in Gainesville, FL, he was a longtime Pensacola resident and a U.S. Army vereran.  Mr. Whiting was a professional florist for over 40 years and current president of the North West Florida Floral Association, a post he has held for the last two years.  Survivors include a brother, Ernest Whiting (Shirley) of St. Petersburg, Fla., several nephews and nieces, including his niece and caregiver, Valerie Roland of Pensacola.  Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2001 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Roger Nicholson, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
