From Journal Wednesday October 3, 1990: “Gwendolyn Yniestra Berry, 75, died Monday at local hospital…native and life long resident…a veteran of WWI and the recipient of the Purple Heart…registered nurse…survivors: sister and brother-in-law Yvonney and George W. Wertz of Jacksonville…Fisher-Pou in charge.” She is buried next to her husband LeGrand M. Berry in the Yniestra family plot.
