From Journal Wednesday September 24: “Capt. James Oliver Vosseller, U.S. Navy…died Tuesday…a 1930 graduate at the Naval Academy… WWII …Survivors: widow Mrs. Leontine Turner Vosseller; two sons, Cmdr. Richard Vosseller, VA and James O. Vosseller III of Jacksonville; daughter Mrs. Wm Jordon of Tallahassee; brother A.B. Vosseller, Vice-Admiral (ret)…Fisher-Pou directing.”   He is buried next to his wife in the R.H. Turner plot.
