Elwood L. "Woody" Holifield, Sr. 55, of Pensacola died Sunday, April 25, 1999 at his home. Mr. Holifield was a native of Alabama and had been a resident of Pensacola for most of his life. He was retired from the City of Pensacola after years of service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict serving with the U. S. Marine Corp. Survivors include daughter, Sheri Fain; two sons, Elwood L. "Woody" Jr. and David Holifield; four grandchildren, Jason, Michelle and Jessica Fain and Andrew Holifield; brother, John Holifield; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Thursday, April 29, 1999 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Faith Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday. | |
