Geraldine Shaw Johnson, died Tuesday, January 11, 2000, at a local hospital.  Mrs. Johnson was born January 16, 1923 in Medicine Lodge, KS.  Her early years spent in this small Kansas town were very happy.  After high school she attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and later graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Sociology.  While there, she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority and the University Acapella  Choir.  Following graduation, she was employed by the Sedgwick County Welfare Agency in Wichita, Kansas.  While in Wichita, she A.C. Johnson, Jr.  They were married in 1947 and celebrated their 51st anniversary.  For 10 years she was a substitute teacher with the Escambia County Schools and also active in the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter BU Pensacola.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pensacola and formerly an active member in the W.M.U.  Survivors include her husband, A.C. Johnson, Jr. of Pensacola; sons, A.C.Johnson, III of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla and Shaw Johnson and wife Cameron of New Orleans, La.; sister Josephine Gilmore of Medicine Lodge, KS; grandchildren, Jessica Ann Johnson, Christopher Ryan Johnson and Arthur Cameron Johnson IV.  Funeral services will be at 2 P.M., Saturday, January 15, 2000, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Butler Officiating.  Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.  Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy., is in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to P.E.O. Program, Program for Continuing Education, 1313 Greenvista Lane, Gulf Breeze, Florida 32561.
