George W. Loggins, 82, of Pensacola died Thursday, October 8, 1998.  George was born in Fort Gibson, Alaska, into a military family.  He graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1934 before coming to Pensacola.  During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps.  After his military tour, he began his civil service career at Pensacola Naval Air Station.  After serving 20 years, he retired in 1970.  George is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, May and Scott James; a sister, Jessie Bailey and a niece, Marsha Tilden, of Birmingham, Ala.; a nephew, Bruce Bailey of Prairie Grove, Ark.; an ex-wife and friend, Marjorie Loggins; and two grandchildren, Sara and Alan James.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 12, 1998, in St. John's Cemetery with the Rev. Robert S. Hornick officiating.  Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Visitation hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today in the funeral home.
