Beverley B. Pettersen, 86, of Pensacola died Tuesday, February 24, 1998, at home.  He was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola, a retired supervisor for the U. S. Postal Service, a veteran of World War II and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest W. Sr. and Lillie Guttmann Pettersen; brother, Earnest W. Pettersen, Jr.; and niece, Ann Pettersen Burgoyne.  Survivors include his wife, Gladys M. Pettersen; daughter, Beverly Ann Pettersen Holtz and husband, Thomas E. Holtz; granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Holtz Violette and husband, Rob Violette; nephew, William Raul Pettersen; and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.  Private services and burial were held on Friday, February 27, 1998, in St. John's Cemetery with the Very Rev. Richard J. Bowles, VF, pastor of St. Michael's Catholic Church, officiating.  Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
