Eugene L. Reese, Jr., 87 of Pensacola died Saturday, July 5, 1997.  Mr. Reese was a native and life long resident of Pensacola.  He was a member of McIlwain Memorial Presbyterian Church and retired as a civil service employee at N.A.S., Pensacola after 31 years of service.  While employed at N. A. S., Pensacola, he received an award for a beneficial suggestion he made in July 1960 to rework faulty fuel nossel housing units on the J-34 jet engines in lieu of replacing with new units.  Mr. Reese was the widower of the late Marion Lucile Peterson Reese and the late Lou Bell Reynolds Reese.  Mr. Reese was also preceded in death by two sons, Dr. Richard and Donald Wayne Reese.  Survivors include: two daughters, Dorothy Jean Reese Lowder, Hanahan, SC; Margaret Pauline Reese, Pensacola; a son, Robert E. Reese, Sr., Soda Springs, Idaho; a brother, James E. Reese,  Pensacola; six grandchildren; nine great grand-children; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harper-Morris Chapel with the Rev. Charles G. DeBardeleben officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Arch Garlock, David Reese, Don Reese, Tommy Reese, Leonard Reese, Dala Thompson.  Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
