Francis Woodie "Bubba" Stone died Saturday morning, September 30, 2000 in a local hospital after a brief illness.  Bubba  was a native of Mobile, AL and had been a resident of Pensacola for most of his life.  He was a veteran of the Armed Services and was retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Company.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances Goff Stone and Gregory Luce Stone.  He is survived by his wife, Kathryn "Kitty" Gibson Stone; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Daniel Marcus Ward; son, William Woodie Stone; grandson, Zachary Carlson Ward, all of Pensacola; granddaughter and her husband, Angela Ward Bell and Glynn of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, DeShea Danielle Stone of Boston, Mass.; mother-in-law, Nanny Gibson; two brothers-in-law, Bubba John and Jeanie Gibson, Gabby and Harriet "Punkin" Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2000 at St. John's Cemetery with Father Jack Murray officiating.  Faith Chapel Funeal Home, 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Florida in memory of "Bubba" Stone.
