Hugh Ambus Brown was born August 7, 1918. He was married January 8, 1939 to Margery Lee Anderson. Their known children were Larry William and Hugh T. (Tommy) Brown. After Marjory died in 1981, Hugh must have remarried for his wife at the time of his death was Mae C. Brown. Hugh Ambus Brown died April 1, 1986. From Journal Wednesday April 2: "Hugh A. "Ham" Brown, 67...died Tuesday at local hospital...native of Panama City and had resided in Pensacola most of his life. He owned and operated Ham Brown & Sons, Inc. for many years...WWII veteran...survivors: wife Mae c. Brown; two sons, Hugh T. (Tommy) and Larry William Brown; adopted son B. David Whitehead; four brothers, Shirley, Tom, Charlie and Freddie Brown; two sisters: Gladys Workman and Flossie Davis; seven grandchildren...McNeil Keyes & Sons Funeral Home directing." He is buried next to his wife Margery Lee Anderson Brown with joint headstone in the Anderson family plot.
