August Ernest Hartman was born September 11, 1901, son of Charles and Elizabeth (Grueninger) Hartman. He died October 7, 1994. From Journal Sunday October 9, 1995: "August E. Hartman, 93, died Friday...native...member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, had been employed with Swift & Armour, and had retired twice from Dyson Construction Company....survivors: two sisters, Marie and Dora Hartman of Pensacola; two nieces: Jan Merchant and Marcia Brazil; nephew Charles Paul Hartman of Alpena, Michigan." Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Victor P. Schulz. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in the Hartman Family plot. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Mr. Hartman will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. Pallbearers will be Ernest Dixon, David Reinhardt, Ron DeVoil, Wilfred Schrader, Arthur McGill and John Stallman. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Walker, Charles Gund, Michael Cascone and Bob Dean. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. | |
