Mary M. Carroll of Pensacola passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012. Mary was born on August 19, 1926 in Hartford County, AL and had lived in Pensacola since 1953. Mary retired from government service, having worked at NAS Pensacola Public Works for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Albert and her parents, John H. and Lela Maud (Childs) Melton. She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Betty Poe and her husband Don of Garden Ridge, TX; a son, James F. Carroll and his wife Sharon (Kilpatrick) of Cantonment; and a daughter, Sue Carroll of Allen, TX. She has seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held 1:30 PM until a Funeral Service to begin at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Gerry Poe, Gordon Melton, Raymond Gambill and Ryan Holmes. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
