Cherie Jon Rauscher Dean, long time resident of Pensacola, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2024. Cherie is the daughter of John Nicholas and Rose Rauscher(deceased). She is survived by her cousin Linda Dionne Clark, and cousins John Lewis Clark, Ill and Lisa Ann Clark Miller who lovingly call her their "Aunt Cherie". Throughout her life, in all her endeavors Cherie brought pride to the family. Cherie brought joy into her own life with her music and her love of animals large and small. As a young child, she was an accomplished pianist. As an adult she raised and trained horses while living in California, and her athleticism won her a black belt in forms in the martial art Taekwondo. Cherie will be remembered by her cousins not only as a talented lady, but someone who brought light into any room. Cherie will be laid to rest in the family plot at St John's Cemetery. The following quote may bring consolation to those of us whose turn is yet to come:  "Life was created by God, so the end is also according to God's plan. Although we do not like death, God created it, and so there must be some meaning to it."

The family requests in lieu of flowers prayers of remembrance be said on Cherie's behalf.
