Sherry, beloved wife, mother and sister, and native Pensacolian, age 75, went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 17, 2010.
She was born October 28, 1934 in Pensacola, FL to Richard F. and Sylvia McAdam Richardson. She graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1955 and worked many years as a labor and delivery nurse. She was a proud member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the American Revolution. Sherry's true love was interior design, she loved antiquing, decorating, and had a very artistic talent in abstract painting. Antique shows and consignment shops were a true passion as she had an eye for beauty. The Lord's Prayer was a source of strength and inspiration for her. She was a true force of nature and will be greatly missed by all of her family.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Perry R. Chambers; her four sons, Ned, Tim, Michael, and Kevin; two daughters, Sherry Ann and Jan Alyn; as well as her two step-children, Alicia Jo and Scott. She truly loved and adored all of her grandbabies: Hannah, Ben, Julianna, Katie, Rachael, Rebecca, Ashley, Nick, Chase, Colter and Devon. Sherry is also survived by her two sisters and brother: Colleen Steen, James Richardson and Cathy Bishop.
Sherry was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, LCMS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Immanuel Lutheran's Youth Group, P.O. Box 12912, Pensacola, FL 32591-2912.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 24 W. Wright Street on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00 am. The family invites loved ones and friends to a light lunch after the service.
