Elmer Adrian Summerlin, best known to many as "Goose," passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at a local hospital at the age of 71.  He was born on May 15, 1938, in Penascola, Florida.  He retired from St. Regis in 1979, and was a Navy Veteran.  Even though life on this earth has ended for Adrian, his eternal life with his heavenly father has just begun.  Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, Roe Bert and Ruby Summerlin; six brothers and three sisters, and one granddaughter.  He is survived by his sister, Ruby Leiterman, Wanda Henderson, his companion, care giver and children's mother; son, James (Patty) Summerlin, grandchildren, Samantha, Austin, Jordan, Brooklyn; daughter, Tonya Summerlin (Steven) Lynn; grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Tristin, Addyson; son, Jopseph Summerlin, grandchildren, Alex, Christopher, Savannah.  He was also survived by a very loving and caring niece, Loretta (Bob) Jackson, and numerous other relatives and friends.  Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel North Thursday, February 18, 2010.  Family will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10;00 a.m., family and friends at 10:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m., funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m.  He will be laid to rest next to his parents.  Graveside services will be held at St. John's Cemetery immediately following.  Pallbearers will be Robert Summelin, Barry Summerlin, Alex Summerlin, Christopher Summerlin, Austin Kalfus,II and Bart Wiggins.  Honorary pallbearer will be Tristin Lynn.  The Summerlin family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to all the caring staff of Nurses and Doctors at Sacred Heart Hospital.  And a special thanks to everyone in the ICU.  Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Highway 29 South Cantonment is in charge of arrangements.  Please express your condolences at www.fcfhs.com
