John Patrick "Jack" Kane of Pensacola died on All Saints Day, Thursday, November 1, 2012. Born in Pensacola on February 29, 1968, Jack was a leap year baby and the fourth of eight children of Tom and Diane Kane. He graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic School, Pensacola High School, and Florida State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance. Jack worked for the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at FSU before returning to Pensacola. Shortly thereafter, he reunited with and married his grade school sweetheart, Charlaine. Throughout his life, Jack loved sailing, playing the piano and spending time with his extended family. Jack possessed many gifts, most especially a generosity of spirit, and he will be greatly missed by all. Jack was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Genevieve and Joseph Dargacz, and his paternal grandparents, Catherine Clark and David Kane. Jack is survived by his wife, Charlaine; his son, Connor; his parents, Tom and Diane; his sisters, Maureen Racine (George), Brenda Kelly (Don), and Eileen Moore (Brian); and his brothers, Tim (Julie), Mike, Brian (Neil), and Patrick (Shannan); as well as seventeen nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Also surviving Jack are his stepchildren, Teigan, Josh, Logan and Brice Keigley. Visitation will be Saturday, November 10, 2012, beginning at 9:30 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Pensacola, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation and will be celebrated at 11:00 am by Monsignor Mike Reed. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the caring nurses and staff of Covenant Hospice in Pensacola.
