Billy Felts of Pensacola, FL, passed away after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer. Billy was known for his warm smile, kind heart and deep love for family and friends. Billy was born on March 13, 1940 in Eudora, Arkansas. His family moved to Pensacola in 1946. Billy graduated from Pensacola High School in 1958. He worked as an electrician before joining the Pensacola Fire Department in 1965. He was drafted into the Army in 1965 and served one year in Vietnam. He retired as a Captain from the Pensacola Fire Department in 1992. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil L. Felts, and his sister, Iva Nell Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Magdalene (Maggie) Felts, his mother, Mabel Felts of Kilbourne, LA, his sister-in-law Rose Thames, brothers-in-law Nick S. Geeker and Lamar Wilson, many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, May 24th at WATERS & HIBBERT FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25th at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Matthew Carter officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the Pensacola Fire Department Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Billy to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1720 W. Garden Street, Pensacola, FL 32501.
