Hal Anderson died in his home peacefully on March 7th (lung cancer) surrounded by immediate family. He was born February 17th in Pensacola to Halcott and Jane Crooke Anderson. Hal is survived by his wife Nancy Fish of 28 years, daughter Elizabeth Anderson (Brooklyn, NY), brothers Ted Mueller (Roberta), Bobby Anderson (Wynn), Walker Anderson (Lane), Leo Anderson, Mark McLellan (Wakako), sisters Beth O'Connor (Larry), Helen Jeffords (Ray), Mary Jane McLellan, brother-in-laws Ed Fish (Marsha) and Bill Fish, and twenty-two cherished nieces and nephews. Accountant by trade, he is fondly remembered as the cofounder of local club The Last Call After Hours Disco, popular in the 80s. He will also be remembered by family and friends for his sincerity and selflessness. Hal actively served the community through multiple nonprofit organizations during his lifetime, including his own endeavor Chalk It Up! Pensacola -- an annual fundraising sidewalk art event. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 at Family-Funeral and Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road. Funeral mass led by lifelong friend Fr. John Licari to follow on Friday at 11 at Saint Anne's Catholic Church, 5200 Saufley Field Road.
