Aubrey Dean Wentworth, 91, of Tallahassee, died March 25, at his home after a long illness. Born in Pensacola, FL to T.T. and Rosabel (Howington) Wentworth, Jr. on July 13, 1923. He served in the Navy during World War II. In 1950, he moved to Tallahassee and attended F.S.U. as one of the first men making it coeducational. He also attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dean worked as a CPA and auditor for the State of Florida and used COBAL to merge health, education and welfare records. He owned his own accounting firm. He was a founding member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School and used his vast knowledge of Biblical history. He was a Toastermaster and received many awards for his work. He served for many years on the Board of Directors of the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Historical Foundation, Inc.

Survivors include: Sara Lynn Wentworth Crane of Tallahassee, Benjamin Wentworth of Tallahassee, Christopher Dean of Crete, Nebraska, Dan Wentworth of Ottawa, Canada; sister Jane Wentworth of Rome, GA; and three grandchildren: Maxwell, Brendan and Maira. -
