Christopher Turner "Chris" Wallace, 59, passed away on December 13, 2012 at his home in Pensacola after a brief illness. He was born in Pensacola on July 12, 1953, the first of five children of Edwin S. (Cdr. USN retired) and Jean H. Wallace. As the son of a naval aviator, he grew up in a variety of locations and returned to Pensacola in 1975.

Chris was a man of many talents. He was an accomplished cook, one of his favorite jobs being the sole operator of "Chris' Kitchen" at the American Legion Post #240 on Gulf Beach Highway from the late 1990's to early 2000's, providing affordable delicious meals to the veterans. He also worked as a handyman for various homeowners around Pensacola. Both of these jobs provided him the flexibility to pursue his love, duck hunting. Each season as the weather cooled, he'd build his blinds, grab his decoys, the dog, and head to the marshes of Escambia Bay. This love was turned into a craft, decoy carving, of which he was a master. In addition to duck hunting, he was a fisherman, but it was only a past time until next duck season rolled around.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Lauren), parents and four siblings. He will be missed by all.

A private service will be conducted at the family plot in Pensacola's St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flower, donations may be made to Regency Hospice, Pensacola, FL, Ducks Unlimited or the charity of your choice.
