Richard Allen Pitman, 80, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on June 22, 2025. He was born in Pensacola on April 12, 1945 to Marcus Dee Pitman and Dorothy Mabire Pitman. He was married to Tommie Kay Pitman for 17 years. Richard (Rick) had a career in Instrumentation Specialist for Hovensa. 
He was a member of Calvary Way Full Gospel Church, 320 Masonic Lodge in Myrtle Grove, Shriners, Scottish Rite, and had a passion for old hot rod cars, fishing, and keeping birds. 
He was preceded in death by Marcus and Dorothy Pitman, father and mother, Doug Pitman, brother, Mickey Simmons, son-in-law. 
He is survived by Tommie Kay Pitman, wife, Richard Allen Pitman, Jr. (Melissa), son, Dewayne Pitman (Tammy), son, Lisa Simmons, daughter, Karen Jones (Tommy), sister, Eugene Pitman (Margaret), brother, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. 
The Pallbearers are Ronnie McNesby, Willie Small, Mike Saxon, Jerry Maygarden, Randy Maygarden, and Randy Hall. 
Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Adams and Tim Ellis.
