Angela Stamitoles of Pensacola, FL., peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on May 5, 2017. Her death marks the end of an era for her loved ones as she was the last remaining sibling of a large family.

She was born in Argonne, Logan County, West Virginia. Her family later moved to Wheeling West Virginia. In Wheeling, Angela graduated from Wheeling High School.

In 1953, she moved to Pensacola with her family and later graduated from the Pensacola School of Cosmetology. She worked as a beautician for many years and went on to open and operate her own beauty Salon where she catered to a large and diverse clientele.

Angela was a life-long member of the Greek Orthodox Church and her nightly devotions were tedious as she would pray for each member of her extended family and friends individually by name.

She will be dearly remembered by her closest nieces and nephews not only for her devotion but also for her wit. For years to come those who knew her will remember their Mimie with love and laughter—this is the legacy she leaves with us.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mike and Panagiota Stamitoles; her siblings: Irene Foster, Sophia Gavallas and Goldie Sauer, William Stamitoles, Emmanuel Stamitoles, and Nick Stamitoles all of Pensacola.

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and will be dearly remembered, with a big smile, by those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home, from 5-7 p.m. with the Trisagion at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday May 10, 2017 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00 a.m. interment to follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Father Matthew Carter will be officiating.
