With his loving wife of sixty nine years by his side, LeRoy Francis Bonifay, 95, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

Lee was born on March 3, 1922 in Pensacola, FL. A graduate of Pensacola High School, Lee proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Air Force Reserve in July 1964 as a Major. He later retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility in February 1980 as a branch superintendent. An avid sportsman who thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing, Lee later volunteered to operate the Naval Air Station skeet range where he taught shooting clay targets to young and old. He was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and involved in the Italian Cultural Club of Pensacola.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leo Francis and Hazel (Shepeard) Bonifay and his sisters Vasca Andress and Vera Hinton.

Lee is survived by his wife, Anne; daughter, Beverly Ann Pica (Michael); son, Russell Leo Bonifay; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Bonifay Pica and Savannah Bonifay Pica.

Visitation will start at 9:30am until the Funeral Mass at 10:00am on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at St. Paul's Catholic Church. A reception will follow. The burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery immediately after the reception.

The family wishes to thank Emerald Coast Hospice and the staff at The Waterford at Carpenters Creek for the loving care that they provided.
