Tom was born on March 12, 1931 in New York, New York. He moved with his family to Pensacola, Florida as a child. He graduated in the Pensacola High School Class of 1949. Tom completed his A.A. Degree from Pensacola Junior College, where he was instrumental in creating the baseball program as well as playing basketball. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University in 1954. While in Tallahassee he was a member of the FSU baseball team and Sigma Nu Fraternity. Tom retired from Eglin Air Force Base with a 31 year Civil Service Career in the Mathematical Services Laboratory.

He is preceded in death by his Greek immigrant parents, John and Patra Psaltis; uncle Charles Carmiris; as well as his sister, Anna Sapp.

Survivors include his daughter, Dawn Psaltis Grace (Jim) of Milton, FL; son Chris Psaltis, Asheville, NC; nephews, Charles (Laurie) Sapp, Pensacola, FL, John Sapp (Eunice) Pensacola, FL and two greatly loved grandsons, Jacob Thomas Lintner, Milton, FL and Ryan Christopher Psaltis, Tazewell, TN, as well as his Godson, Gary Tringas of Gulf Breeze, FL.

Through the years, Tom enjoyed coaching youth baseball with his lifelong friend, John Tringas and was an avid FSU football and baseball fan. In retirement he enjoyed playing golf and meeting for lunch with his best friends and High School class. He was a strong and humble witness in his orthodox faith as a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Antiochian Orthodox Church and Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. He enjoyed serving for many years as a committee chairman in the annual Greek Festival and on the Parish Council.

Tom possessed a gentile nature with a great smile and an infectious laugh that will never be forgotten. He was the best father and grandfather a great "Nouno" to so many and for that we are forever blessed.
