Joan Costopolos Hobson, age 88, died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 30, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 31, 1928 in Pensacola, FL, she was the daughter of the late Agnes E. Hogan, Angelo G. Costopolos and step-father, Don L. Hogan.

Joan was preceded in death by her devoted husband of fifty four years, Buford A. Hobson, her cherished sister, Helen C. Cary and special loved ones and cousins, Dorothy Capps and Charles Porras.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Linda Ward, her beloved grandchildren Clyde Johnson (Rachel), and Jacquelyn Rydell (Scott) and precious great grandchildren Maci Kate and Jace Johnson and Caleb Rydell. Other family members her niece Paige Cary who she adored and thought of as her other daughter, Nancy James, her devoted caretaker and friend, sisters Angelilna Jones and Helena Pelous, cousin Johnny Porras and dear friend, Annette White.

Dr. Chuch G. Capps, her special nephew, will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 11:00 – 12:00 with service beginning at noon. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery.
