Neil Gillis Daniel was born January 16, 1877 Monroeville, Alabama, son of Simeon F. and Elizabeth (Thompson) Daniel. He married Mabel Valerie Jones. Neil Gillis Daniel died September 10, 1954. From Fisher-Pou obituary: “Neil Gillis Daniel, 77, died Friday at home of his sister Mrs. Ida E. Jackson, 1212 E. Hernandez…lived in Pensacola for 50 years…retired contractor.” He is buried next to his wife Mabel V. Jones Daniel, and her parents Wm. Wr. Jones and his wife Mary Louise Hayden Jones.
