William Crittenden Dewberry was born August 1, 1867 in Garland, Butler County, Alabama, son of Thomas and Eliza Carolina (Bennett) Dewberry. Dr. Dewberry came to Escambia county in 1897, practicing in the Gonzalez community, later moving into Pensacola. He was a physician and druggist. Dr. Dewberry owned the Central Pharmacy on the corner of Palafox and Romana Street, and two other stores. He also invested in real estate in the North Hill area.  Some of the structures still exist.  He was a member of the First Methodist Church. From marriage and cemetery records, William Dewberry was married three times. In Escambia County on October 9, 1894, he married Margaret "Maggie" Ella Waters.  Margaret was born April 13, 1871.  They were the parents of five children: Marguerite, Irma, Ethel, Willie and Ruth Dewberry.  Margaret Dewberry died on October 11, 1917, buried next to their son Willie Dewberry, born September 2, 1899, and died December 2, 1900.

Daughter Marguerite Dewberry was born August 19, 1895.  She died July 31, 1939, with her headstone saying Marguerite Dewberry Bennett.

The second marriage of Dr. Dewberry was to Emma Laura, with her obituary saying her mother was "Mrs. E.R. Wilson."  Emma Laura was born February 16, 1872, and died November 1, 1925.  She is buried next to second wife.

On July 11, 1925 in Escambia County, Dr. Dewberry married Olga Montanari (1891-1971).  They are buried in 4 South, Section 48.
