From the Pensacola News Journal, Monday, February 23, 1998: Louise Daniel Axelson died Sunday, February 22, 1998...Mrs. Axelson was a native and life long resident of Pensacola.  She was a member of the Gadsden Street United Methodist Church, the Mary Martha Sunday School class and the Circle 1..  She was an avid bridge player.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Newton Axelson.  Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Willie V. and Bernard Witt of Pensacola.  Harper-Morris is in charge of arrangements.  Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Cemetery with the Rev. C. Edward Britton and the Rev. William H. Barry officiating.  She is buried next to her husband in the W.T. Daniel family plot. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gadsden Street United Methodist Church.
