| Arthur Eugene Godwin was born October 17, 1894, son of Thomas and Samantha Godwin. He married Imagene. Arthur E. Godwin died July 9, 1986. From Journal Friday July 11: "Arthur Eugene Godwin, 91, died Wednesday in local nursing home...native of Alabama, but life long resident of Pensacola...retired civil service at Pensacola NAS...survivors: wife Imagene Godwin; three sons: J.T., Creal and Jack Godwin, all of Pensacola; two daughters: Joy Averitt and Beverly Till, both of Pensacola; sister Nelllouise Waldrop of Winter Haven; brother Malcalm T. Godwin of winter Haven; fourteen grandchildren...Faith Chapel in charge." He is buried next to his wife in the T.A. Godwin family plot. Stone read "Children of Arthur and Imagene Godwin".
