JOHN FRANKLIN ACOSTA AND WILLETTA ZUBER ACOSTA ... John Franklin Acosta was born July 15, 1888. He is listed in the Escambia County draft of 1917, and was the bookkeeper for Pensacola Buggy Works. From John's first marriage, he was the father of two known children (per his obituary), Mrs. Roland Mueller of Los Angeles, and son John F. Acosta Jr. of San Diego. John Acosta's second marriage was to Willetta Zuber. John F. Acosta died May 31, 1955. From his obituary, he was survived by his wife Willetta and four brothers: Walter E. and Eugene B. Acosta of Pensacola, T.H. Acosta of Los Angeles, and H. R. Acosta of Atlanta. John F. Acosta is buried next to his second wife Willetta Z. Acosta. Willetta Zuber was born July 23, 1899 in Opelika, Alabama. She married John Franklin Acosta. Willetta Z. Acosta died November 10, 1968. From the Journal, November 11, 1968, Willetta was a resided in Pensacola for the last 44 years, and worked in the business office of the Pensacola Journal for 40 years, member of Gadsden Street Methodist Church, and survived by three sisters and three brothers.
