Alice Deas English was born April12, 1899, Mt. Pleasant, Alabama, the daughter of Arthur and Alice English.  She was first married to Joseph Burdine Stiggins, parents of daughter Lillian Deas Stiggins.  Alice was the third wife of John Riley Barker.  John R. and Alice were the parents of Eddie Barker, the known Atlanta and Pensacola newspaper columnist.  Alice Deas Barker died March 22, 1986, buried next to her husband John Riley Barker.
