To William and Ida, three known children were born in Mississippi: Frank W. Barnette (b.ca1886), daughter Homar M. (b.ca1888) and Charley Barnette (b.ca1890).  William M. Barnette died December 22, 1904, buried in the Barnette family plot next to his wife Ida M. Barnette, with joint stone.   Also buried in plot, daughter Honour M. Prather and her husband Nathan T.
