Irma Lydia Lappington, 78, of 15 East Brainerd Street, Pensacola, FL died Wednesday morning at a hospital.  Miss Lappington was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola.  She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and had retired after 42 years as secretary and treasurer for Noonan Construction Company.  She is survived by a sister, Antionette Lappington of  Pensacola, and a brother, George L. Lappington of  Pensacola.  Funeral services will be 10 a. m. Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Richard Bowles serving mass.  The rosary will be recited a 7 p. m. Thursday in the Fisher-Pou Chapel.  The family will receive friends Thursday after 11 a. m.  Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church for masses.  Burial will be at the St. John's Cemetery with Fisher-Pou Funeral Service directing.  Pallbearers will be Fordham Nathan, Tommy Burke, Bill Noonan, Carl Herbert and H. O. Anson, Jr.
