Buda Day was born August 19, 1880 in Mexia, Texas, daughter of John M. and Emma (Harrison) Day. Buda started teaching in the early 1900's for Escambia County. She was a geometry and trigonometry teacher at Pensacola High School. After her retirement, Miss Day returned to the school, making test for the other teachers. On June 13, 1956, at age 76, Miss Buda Day married to Henry Alexander Lee. Mrs. Buda Day Lee died November 28, 1967 in Oak Grove Nursing Home in Tallahassee, at age 87. She is buried next to her mother in the Day family plot.
