Rudolph Marion "Pete" McDavid, 83, passed away Saturday, December 14, 1991, in a Jacksonville hospital.  Mr. McDavid was a native of Pensacola and a resident of Jacksonville for the  past 41 years.  He was a retired U.S. Secret Service Agent with 32 years' service, during which he protected six U.S. presidents, including Franklin D. Roosevelt at the Yalta Conference.  Mr. McDavid was a special agent in charge of the Jacksonville office when he retired and during his lifetime he was the special agent in charge of Florida.  He was a charter member of the Florida Council on Aging, the Presbyterian Chudrch and was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Courtney McDavid; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Sandra Meade Fox and Dr. J. Lawrence Fox of Lake Bluff, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, R.M. "Pete" McDavid Jr. and Sandra Luger McDavid of Pensacola; a granddaughter, Lisa Carol Fox, an attorney in Deerfield, IL; a grandson, Dr. Kenneth Allan Fox of Tucson, AZ and a brother, Daniel F. McDavid of Pensacola.  Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 1991, in St. John's Cemetery.  Fisher-Pou Funeral Service, 27 East Wright Street, directing.  The family of Mr. McDavid wil receive friends at the funeral home chapel in downtown from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.  Pallbearers will be Tom E. Lewis, David M. McDavid, John Thompson, Dennis McDavid, Danny McDavid, David G. Poucher, Dave Johnson, Ray Suggs and George Stringfield.  Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
