Louis Grey Bell was born February 28, 1903 in Escambia county, son of Charles Augustus Bell and his wife Della Martha Langley. At a young age "Grey" started working for B.A. Davis Memorials, and later became a partner. In 1939, he became postal inspector and served until December of 1957. He was a member of the Escambia County board, six years on the school board, and member of the First United Methodist Church. "Grey" Bell married Annie Lee Davis. To Grey and Annie Bell, two sons were born in Escambia County: John A. Bell and Robert Davis Bell. Louis Gray Bell died March 12, 1967, buried next to his wife Annie Lee Bell, and his mother Della Bell Mashburn.
