From Journal Monday February 10: “Filo Turner Jr., 71, died Friday in local hospital…native…retired co-owner of Pensacola Buggy Works…was Commander in U.S. Navy during WWII…survivors: two daughter: Marguerite White of Alabama and Ann Janette of Mississippi; three sons, Fredrick Richard Turner of Alabama, Mark Whitfield and Filo Turner III, both of Pensacola; brother Richard Hill Turner Sr.; sister Lucy Turner Rooney of Oklahoma…Harper-Morris in charge.”  He is buried in the R.H. Turner family plot.
