William F. Woodford was born ca1838 in Illinois. From his tombstone he was a Sergeant in Company C, 1st Oregon Calvary. His wife was Margareta C. Woodford (maiden name not known). They are found in the 1910 census of Calhoun County, Florida. She claims she was the mother of six children but only three were alive at this time. From the different census information, I believe William and Margareta Woodford are the parents of Marguerite "Maggie", wife of James Lyle. William F. Woodford died January 4, 1916, buried next to his wife in the James A. Lyle family plot | |
