Dorothy (Dot) Porras Capps, 88 years-young, died Tuesday, June 22 after a short illness.  Dot was a lifelong resident of Pensacola.  She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1940 and then went to work at  Pensacola Naval Air Station as a secretary.  Later she attended Pensacola Beauty School and in 1955 started a 55-year career as a beautician.  Dot's true passion for styling hair yielded her many close friends anf relationships that she cherished immensley.  Always quick witted and jovial, she had an amazing talent for making others feel as though they were loved and important.  She enjoyed feeding her family during Sunday lunches, dancing at Sanders Beach. playing cards with her dear friends Doris and Ralph Gillespie, and spending time with her church ladies from the Warrington Church of Christ.  She leaves behind a large contingent of delightful friends whom she cared about very much.  Dot was prededed in death by her husband, Glennon Capps (1995); her father, George Porras (1947); and mother Georgia Porras (1994).  She is survived by her son, Dr. Chuck Capps; daugher-in-law, Kay Capps; grandson, Ross Capps; and granddaughter, Kacey Capps, all from Nashville, TN.  Also surviving are brothers: Charles and Johnny (Joyce) Porras; and cousins/sisters Joanne Hobson and Aileen Liberis; from Pensacola.  Dot also has four surviving nieces: Kathy Porras Winter, Joni Porras Pierce, Paige Carey, and Linda Hobson Ward; and one nephew, Nilo Porras.  Pallbearers will be: Greg Pinney, Larry McAfee, Larry Hollis, Todd Page, Johnny Cupp and Jim Patten.  Funral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Gaw officiating.  Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.  The family will  receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2010.  Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home, 124 West Gregory Street, is in charge of arrangements,
