Ourania "Nina" Geeker Dees, 67, of Gulf Breeze, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2009, when God came down and lifted her gently into his hands and took her home.  Nina was known for her warm smile, kind heart and deep love for family and friends.  Nina was born August 27, 1942 in Pensacola.  Nina graduated from  Pensacola Technical High School in 1961.  She and her husband owned and operated the Bottle Shop and Castle Lounge.  She was employed at the Navy Exchange Mini Mart from 1979 tyo 2006 in a variety of positions prior to retiring.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis James Dees, Jr., sons, Louis James Dees III and Christopher Dees; her parents, Steve and Lula Geeker; her sister, Anne Geeker McNeal; and her much beloved dog, Norm.  She is survived by sons, Carl (Dana) Dees, Ferlin Dees, Jerry Dees, John (Jessica) Dees, and Robert (Laura) Dees; sisters, Rose Thames and Magdalene (Billy) Felts; brother, Nick Steve Geeker; grandson, Mitchell Dees; and granddaughter, Amanda Dees; brother-in-law, David (Faye) Dees; sister-in-law,   Geraldine Drexler; nieces, Linda (Mark) Lethbridge, Cathryn Preston, Nicole Geeker and Julie (Ray) Reaves; nephews, Gregory Thames and Steven N. Geeker; aunts and uncles, Pete and Katherine Geeker, Koren and Alice Toney, Mahi Geeker, all of Pensacola, Magda Pelias of New Orleans, LA, and Mike and Mahi Geeker of Skopelos, Greece; many beloved cousins, great nieces and great nephews.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 15th at Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 16th in the Chapel at Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Mayernick officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be her sons, Carl Dees, Ferlin Dees, Jerry Dees, John Dees, Robert Dees and nephew Steven N. Geeker.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Nina Dees to the American Diabetes Association, 12385 Sorrento Road Suite A-2, Pensacola, FL 32507.
