MIss Olivia Avant, 90, of Pensacola died Sunday morning, August 20, 1995.  Miss Avant was a native and life long resident of Pensacola. She retired from the Escambia County School System, having taught at P. K. Young Elementary School.  She was a 1923 graduate of Pensacola High School, attended Florida State College for Women graduating in 1927.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the John Stringfield Sunday School Class.  Survivors include many caring and loving cousins.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Mosley officiating.  Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northwest Florida.
