Mrs. Eva Mae Pittman Bell, 86, widow of the late Earl "Potts" Bell died Saturday, May 6, 1995.  Mrs Bell was a native of Pensacola and a faithful member of the Gadsden Street United Metodist Church.  She was a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class and the U.M.W. Circle1.  Mrs. Bell was a graduate of the Pensacola High School Class of 1928 and Florida State University Class of 1940.  She retired after 40 years of service with the Escambia County School System.  Mrs. Bell taught in several elementary schools and served as a visting teacher for 20 years.  She was a life time member of the Florida Retired Educators and the Escambia Retired Educators.  Mrs. Bell served on many committees and boards, the Escambia Teachers Credit Union; past president of BPN, and in 1947 served on the board of directors of the first Boys Club organized in Pensacola.  She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, and a member of the Retired Wives of Railroad Employees, and many other organizations.  Survivors include her two granddaughters, Michele D. Harris Engle of Atlanta, Lisa D. Beffa of St. Louis; two great-grandchildren, Shannon Eagle and Tyler Beffa; a nephew, Preston Pittman; two great nephews, Lonnie and Jeremy Pittman.  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, in the Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roberts, assisted by the Rev. Edward Garrett, officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Dr. Langley Bell, Preston Pittman, Bill McArthur, Jim Harris, Joe Hicks and Bill Martin.  Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Visiting Teachers Department.  Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call at Harper-Morris 3 to 5 p.m. Monday.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the E.R.E.A. Scholarship Fund, 8812 Burning Tree Road, Pensacola, FL 32514.
