Charles Shipley Coe, 74, of Pensacola, died Sunday, February 14, 1999 in Gulf Breeze, following a lengthy battle with cancer.  A life long resident of Pensacola, Charles Coe was a World War II veteran, having served as a Naval Aviator.  After an honorable discharge, Mr. Coe received his law degree from the University of Florida and began a 35 year law practice in Pensacola.  Charles Coe was active in the community in several organizations including prison ministries.  He was a life long member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Pensacola.  He is survived by his wife, Charlotte McCall Coe; sister, Evalyn Coe Grubbs; brothers, James Mansville Coe, and Dr. Henry Wickline Coe; son, John Moreno Coe, II, daughter-in-law, Kristi Shawn Coe, and two daughters, Camilla Coe and Marcia M. Coe, all of Pensacola.  Charles Coe also leaves his four grandchildren, Keith Alan Kimmons of Coos Bay, Oregon; John Moreno Coe, III of Atlanta, GA; Jennifer Shawn Coe and Kathryn Marie Lemmon, both of Pensacola; and one great-grandchild, Emile Sterling Kimmons of Coos Bay, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.  Mr. Coe was predeceased by  his parents, John Moreno Coe and Evalyn Shipley Coe and a sister, Ruth Romberg.  A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 33 East Gregory St., Pensacola with Dr. Rush Otey, officiating.  Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  The Coe family would like to extend its thanks and gratitude to Hospice of Northwest Florida, Pensacola/East for their care and attention shown to the family and to Charles Coe during the last days of his life.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northwest Florida.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 1999.  There will be a reception at the church following Memorial Service.
