Clyde B. Covington, 82, of Pensacola died Monday, July 10, 1995, following a lengthy illness.  Mr. Covington was born in Ashburn, GA but lived most of his life in Pensacola.  He served in the U.S. Army during Warld War II and retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 36 years of service.  Survivors include his two sisters, Dorothy Harris and Lois Barker, both of Thomaston, GA; sons, Randy Covington of Gulf Breeze and Dennis Covington of  Pensacola; son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Terry Covington of Gulf Breeze; niece,  Patricia MeNeil of Pensacola; and granddaughter, Sarah Covington of Gulf Breeze.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Cemetery with Dr. Alton Butler, pastor Emeritus of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, officiating.  Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
