Arthur Thomas "Tommy" DeMars, 1940-2001, age 61, died at his residence on Thurday, November 15, 2001.  Mr. DeMars was born September 4, 1940 in Pensacola to Gabriel and Evelyn O"Neal DeMars.  He made Pensacola his home, where he owned and operated Tommy's Barber and Style Shop.  He was a Roman Catholic by faith.  Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Clanton DeMars, and his sister Vera Gay Meharg.  Tommy is survived by his girlfriend, Linda DuBose; his daughters, Terry (Rob) Amette and Geri (Allen) Taylor; his brother, Marlow (Sally) DeMars; his sister-in-law, Loretta DeMars; his uncle, Wilford DeMars of Buffalo, NY; aunts, Vera Rand and Fern O'Neal of Pensacola, Mary Paul, Grace, Beulah, Sister Gertrude Rose DeMars and Sister Marie Gabrielle DeMars (Daughters of the Holy Spirit), all of Tupperlake, NY; and  his seven grandchildren, Rusty, Jesse, Rachel, Robbie, Grace, Melyssa, and Luke; and many, many friends.  A funeral mass will be held at 10:00a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2001 at St. Anne's Catholic in Brownsville, with Msg. Raymond Mullins officiating.  Pallbearers will be James Darrell Stevison,  Chris Stevison, Artie O'Neal, Doug O'Neal, Pat O'Neal, and Steve Mularchuk.  Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery on "G" Street.  Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call on the family 3-5 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2001 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, where vigil prayers will be offered at 4:00 p.m.
