John E. Fleming, 78, of Pensacola died Monday, April 1, 1996, at a local nursing home.  Mr. Fleming had resided in Pensacola most of his life.  He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Civil Service after 33 years.  He was a member of Westwood Christian Church.  Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his wife, Lois.  He is survived by an adopted son, Ron and daughter-in-law, Carla; four grandchildren; a special long time friend, Edna Bellamy; brother, Robert H. Fleming of Atlanta; sister, Marguerite F. Wilson of Milton and nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harper-Morris Chapel with the Rev. John Bennett officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be members of Westwood Christian Church.  Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday.
