Eugene Samuel "Big Jim" Folsom, 78, of Pensacola, died Monday, June 26, 2000 at his daughter's home in Pace.  Mr. Folsom was of the Baptist Faith and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S.Navy, where he received a Purple Heart.  He was a member of Pensacola Elks Lodge and was retired from NAS Pensacola with 33 years service.  He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor.  He was loved and will be missed by us all.  Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Robyn and Ralph Snyderburn and Cookie and Jerry Silverman; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Butch and Debra Folsom; six grandchildren, Krista, Suzanne, Robert, Nathan, Jenna and Bryan; and two nephews, Hugh Watson and David Flosom.  Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2000 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Mitchell officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Faith Chapel Funeral Home 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call at Faith Chapel Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
