Lula Deomes Geeker, 85, of Pensacola died Saturday, September 13, 1997.  Mrs. Geeker was a native of Helena, Ark., but was a resident of Pensacola for the past 68 years.  She and her husband owned and operated Steve's Superette.  She was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Geeker, and her daughter, Anne Geeker McNeal.  Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Nick S. and Lel Geeker; daughters and sons-in-law, Magda and Bill Felts, Nina and Jimmy Dees, and Rose and Ernest Thames; sisters, Mary Antul, Nina Souza, Lena Pollard, Alice Toney and Mae Collinsworth; brother, Jim Deomes; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Theodore Chelpon officiating.  Mrs. Geeker will be placed in the church a 1 p.m. Tuesday.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steven Geeker, Ferlin Dees, Gregory Thames, John Dees, Carl Dees and Robert Dees.  Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Styke Valmus, Sam Toney, Eli Pagonis, Van Geeker, Chris Souza, Stavros Varvouris, Stanley Pagonis, Michael Pelias, Joe Pollard, Charles Deomes, Nick P. Geeker, Nick Spyros Geeker and Billy Cowling.  Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.  Trisagion services will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
