Beverly J. Hess 1930-2002, 72, of Pensacola, died Saturday November 1, 2002.  A native of Pensacola, Beverly served as a staffing specialist in the civilian personnel office at the Naval Air Station for most of her 30-year career.  Beverly was  very devoted to her Christian faith, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir at Immanuel Lutheran Church for over 48 years.  She was a devoted caregiver and an angel to her parents until their death and afterwards to her uncle.  Her sister, Marilyn Cross, her brother, Kipling R. Hess, Jr., 5 nieces and nephews survive Ms. Hess.  A visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church beginning at 2:00pm Sunday, November 10, 2002, followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00pm with Rev. Stephen P. Kamprath officiating.  Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.  Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.  Honorary Pallbearers for Ms. Hess will be: Wilfred Schrader and David Reinhardt.  Pallbearers will be: Ernest Dixon, David Holm, Richard Schulz, Robert Voyles, Donnie Merchant and Ed Duncan.  All are invited to refreshments following the interment at the church's fellowship hall across from the main Sanctuary on 222 N. Baylon Street.  Memorial contributions can be sent to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund, 222 N. Baylon Street, Pensacola, Florida 32501.
