Jimmy Nick Malamo, 64 of Pensacola, died suddenly, Thursday, June 27, 1996 at his home. Mr. Malamo was a native of Glossa Skopolos, Greece but had been a resident of Pensacola since 1947. He was a partner in the Malamo Bros. Grocery Store and a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Survivors include his wife Dannie Malamo; two brothers, John Malamo of Pensacola and Gus Malamo of Norfolk, VA; two sisters Diome and Magda, both of Greece; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Theodore Chelpon, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Georgiades, John Liollio, Constantine Tampary, Anthony Tampary, Chris Varazo, and Joe Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Charlie Varazo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. | |
